Fabric Friday: Valentine’s Day

Bring on the pink, the red, the polka dots, the hearts, and the flowers.  Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! Don’t worry,  it’s not too late to get your decorate on – if you’re so inclined.   (You couldn’t pay me enough to bust out any Valentine’s Day decorations this year since I’m still in declutter mode.)  My obsession with fabrics continue despite my lack of decor mode, and I went in search for fun fabrics that can be used in all kinds of different crafty projects.   For instance,  you could make your own placements,  cut the fabric into hearts and string them for your mantel (or bookcase if mantel-less), use it in place of wrapping paper, line a picnic basket with it…the ideas are endless!

Check out these really cute fabrics!

Happy Valentine’s Day! We’re pretty dull at my house for the holiday. Perhaps we’ll eat our Ramen by candlelight! ;)

I just wanted to swing by and let you know that you’ve been nominated for the Best in Show award on my blog! Congrats and good luck :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! I’m also so honored to be nominated! The competition looks pretty solid, that’s for sure. :-)

      I’ll keep my fingers crossed!

      Cheers,

Thanks for the comment on my blog! What a small world – I work in a dental office too! My teeth did yellow a lot at first, but they improved after the 1st adjustment because I began brushing harder and more frequently (stray wires be darned!) I’m expecting to get my braces off in about another year. How about you?

That is just too funny that you also work at a dental office! What do you do there?

I used to kick and scream about braces too, but working in the field – people are a little more critical of your teeth. Constantly, patients would ask me why I had fangs. Finally, I got so sick of it, I ended up at the ortho office we refer out to. A month later, here I am with my metal mouth.

I’m fairly convinced I brush hard enough, but I think the glue is just so porous and I drink a lot of coffee. I also heard that whitening toothpaste can counteract with the metal and cause discoloration. Weird, right? So many things to have to take into consideration! Have you seen a lot of movement yet since you got yours on? I know my teeth have definitely shifted a lot since, because my bite is completely different. And that’s just with the uppers on, the lowers aren’t going on for another 2 weeks.

I’m such a geek, but I find the whole thing fascinating!

          Cheers,
          Jessica
