It would be wonderful to say that Andrew and I have successfully completed phase two of our holiday decorations, but that is not that case. Quite frankly, I have a feeling it will stay the case this holiday season. When I asked him the other day if we were going to send out holiday cards this year, he responded with a very quick no. Could it be? Are we not feeling very festive this year? Sadly, that just might be the case. Between the grueling semester I just finished, and Andrew’s insane work schedule, the holidays may have lost it’s luster. But alas, we can’t NOT have a nice Christmas! In order to get back into the jolly spirit, I decided to walk down memory a lane (it was a very short walk), and found the picture Andrew and I used on our holiday cards last year.
Aren’t we cute? Yeah, we really are. I look even especially cute in a sleigh being driven by a zebra. Thanks Busch Gardens!
Please enjoy this close up of faux holly berries and pine cones to set the mood. I’m trying to get back in the swing of things, here!
But let’s face it.
It’s really hard to actually enjoy this time of year in Florida, when it’s still 80 degrees outside. Maybe if it was chilly out, and I could bundle myself up on the couch wearing a hoodie, and drinking hot chocolate then I would be all “HEYYYYY CHRISTMAS!!!” But, seeing as how I can’t do that without sweating bullets, I won’t jump aboard the Christmas train just yet. However, that will not stop me from looking at pictures and trying to find some holiday inspiration.

That last picture is making me feel super festive! Okay, so maybe I will start diggin’ the holiday soon enough. Now, I just have to convince the husband. But, he’s currently too busy getting bit up by Columbia, who I affectionately called “chicken head” earlier. She was trying to put her head in my chicken. It made sense at the time. Now, I’ve come to realize that “chicken head” has a whole other meaning, and if Columbia knew it….well, she would be offended.
