Guest Post: Leigh-Ellen’s Killer Skirt!

I’ve got good news for you guys out there!  We’ve got a guest post by the wonderful Leigh-Ellen today!
I love how bold she is with color, and I know you will to.  :-)

P.S :  Do I spy a Michael Kors handbag in the last photo?

Enjoy!

Hello Vintage Mauve Readers! I’m Leigh-Ellen and I blog over at Little Waterlily in a Big Pond. I’m excited that Jessica is letting me takeover her little piece of the internet and that she’s posting over on mine. My blog began as a way to keep in touch with friends and family scattered around the world and has been growing slowly from there.  My husband, two cats, golden retriever and I live on the east coast of Canada.

Husband & I… NOT on the East Coast of Canada

I’m definitely not a fashion blogger but I like sharing clothes and having an excuse to take photos when I get dressed up.  Since starting the blog I’ve realized I tend to have go-to “outfits”.

This” + “This” + “This” = Easy outfit.

Blogging has challenged me to mix it up more since I don’t want to be sharing the same 5 outfits over and over!  So today I thought I’d share three different ways I’ve worn my new yellow skirt.

***Warning: I really, really like colour (and spell it the Canadian way). Might be a little loud for some people!***

I first wore this Apostrophe skirt when I took part in a fun fashion show for a local boutique called Rowena’s.  The top is too flowy for my usual taste. I have curves and if they don’t show I tend to feel like a puffball.  However I love the yellow and orange together.  I need to get some orange pieces to wear it with.

I didn’t buy that top but I did find another one on the racks post-fashion show that I decided would make a fun work outfit.

This past weekend was gorgeous and sunny.  I wanted to wear my new skirt out for dinner but also wanted outfit photos for the blog.  I needed to change it up again.

So I’ve owned the skirt for less than a month and that’s how I’ve styled it so far.  Thanks for letting me hang out with you today.  Feel free to stop by and say hi at my blog.
